Some youthful members of Opposition in Kasese Municipality have asked teachers to be human, return to class as they back them to push the ruling government to fulfill its pledges to them.
Teachers have abandoned schools in protest against what may have called discriminative salary increment in favor of the scientists currently included in the budget.
Mr. Paul Kimbesa like Edith Kahindo, Moses Bwambale and Emma Tusiime of National Unity platform who said teachers should not sacrifice learners for their benefits, added that the current situation was a typical outcome that the regime was overdue and time for change was now. Mr. Kimbesa speaking………
There were however mixed fillings among the Kisanga market vendors, with some describing the teachers as selfish for not being considerate of the poor children in government schools.
To the others, government was un realistic with the discriminative salary increments because the four million per every scientist would have been shared by about two more teachers. Venders speaking………………
To most vendors, the strike only affects the common poor because the children of most teachers and the rich decision makers are in private schools. END.
