Buthale Health Center two in Mahango sub-county in Kasese district has resorted for the services of the Village Health Team members due to lack of enough health workers at the facility, Mr. Julius Kyasuba Kule the area local council three chairperson has revealed.
In his report to the Kasese district chairperson, Mr. Muhindi Eliphaz, Mr. Kyasuba said the health facility has for long had on paper; health workers posted but have never turned up for duty.
Whereas Mr. Kyasuba said the health center is largely backed by the VHTs, the district should intervene to help the situation he described as fragile to the local community. Mr. Kyasuba speaking………
Hon. Jeremiah Bwanandeke, the Kasese district male councilor representing Mahango sub-county blames the personnel challenges in the area to civil servants who not willing to serve in remote mountainous hard to reach areas.
He asks the public service commission to consider posting to Mahango, daughters and sons of the mountains who are used to the terrain and would as well be sympathetic to their suffering community members in the area. Mr. Bwanandeke speaking………..
