The local residents and leaders of Buhaghura Parish, Rukoki sub county in Kasese district, demand for an immediate explanation into the reported withdraw of medical staffs from their government aided health center three.
Speaking to Kasese Guide Radio in Kasese town this afternoon, the sub-county speaker, Hon. Nathan Muthabali like other local residents in the area, gave the Muhindi government a one-week ultimatum with which the withdrawn health workers must have been reinstated or else, they mobilize the whole sub county for a peaceful demonstration leading to the Kasese district headquarters.
The subcounty male youthful councilor, wondered why such a hard to reach area with poor road networke, can be left with handful of health staff at the expense of the helpless pregnant woman, sickly children and the older person whose lives are always under health emergency care. In a telephone brief interview by this radio, Mr. Erifaz Muhindi, the Kasese District Chairperson, said he was not aware about the withdraw of health workers, promising to give an official and detailed comment after consulting with the Chief Administrative Officer. ENDÂ
