Hon. Herbert Bwambale, the Kasese Municipal secretary for social services, has openly opposed the proposal for sole candidature plans as championed by Mr. Selevano Mulhondi, the Kasese Municipal NRM chairperson ahead of the 2025 NRM Party primary elections.
During what the Kasese Municipal NRM leadership called a party Manifesto community evaluation meeting held at Murongoti primary school in Nyakabingo two Ward in Kasese Municipality last week, Mr. Isaac Kalyabyuma, the area local council two chairperson and Mr. Wilson Kiiza, the local council one chairperson for Katadoba cell like many others, commended Hon. Ferigo Kambale, their Legislator, for a number of developments, including, the establishment of the Big Heart Foundation for youth skilling, roads under USMID and Rwenzori television.
They later announced the sole candidature of Hon. Ferigo and all flag bearers in Kasese Municipality for another chance and for purposes of minimizing internal party conflicts during party primaries.
During his address to Nyamwamba West community members at Habitant market yesterday, Hon. Herbart described the promoters of sole candidature project as self-seekers and political traders whose motives are not only contradicting the party constitution on democracy but a sense cowardice. He later asked politicians to look at the general interests of party than promoting individualism. END
