    Some solar street lights installed in Kasese Municipality found un function

    Solar street lights installed on various roads in Kasese Municipality are breaking down at different points due to weak batteries, Kasese Guide Radio has learnt.

    The solar lamps are either nonfunctional or produces dim light at night, Kasese Municipal Secretary for works and technical services, Hon.John Siriwayo has confirmed.

    On Nyakasanga-Acholiquator and Acholiquator to Kamaiba roads, it has been evidenced the lights dim and cause darkness at night.

    Siriwayo saidsolar lights had also been put in all dark spots within the central business area that were synonymous with crime.

    He called for calm among residents in Kasese Municipality, saying authorities is doing everything possible to ensure the problem is rectified for the safety of people and their properties. END.
