Six people have been arrested in Kidodo cell in Kasese Municipality for unlawfully constructing in an open space.
Rwenzori East Region Police Spokesperson SP. Nelson Tumushiime confirmed the arrest and identified the landlord as, Simon Baluku together with his five casual workers.
Mr. Wilfred Baluku, the Senior Physical Planner for Kasese Municipality who was doing monitoring together with Police had running battles with Mr. Simon who had resisted arrest until he was whisked to the Police van by Police officers. Mr.Wilfred one speaking….
Wilfred said Baluku,s arrest follows several advice by the Kasese Municipal authority to halt construction works in an open space as required by the Physical Planning act 2010 but in vain.
