Kasese Chief Magistrates Court has Remanded six suspects to Mubuku Government prison until 12th April, 2023 on allegation of stealing thirty Jerricans of palm oil in a shop at Kigoro trading centre in Nyamwamba Division.
Court Presided over by the Kasese chief magistrate, her worship Ajok Betty heard that while in Kigoro cell on 15th March, 2023, the accused reportedly stole palm oil from the shop of one Masika, a business woman in Kigoro trading centre.
The suspects include, Dan Mumbere and Siphasi Tukundane among others.
Speaking to our reporter the parents of some suspects Dan and Siphasi, Ms. Lilian Mbambu and Ms. Peace Basemire blamed the Chairperson Local Council three Nyamwamba Division Mr. Pimako Kasereka for denying them introductory letters to apply for court bail of their children. Pimako said he was implementing a resolution made by the over thirty local council one chairperson to temporarily halt the issuance of introductory letters to suspected criminals applying for court bail.
