Over sixty tones of relief food was yesterday handed over to the Kasese district COVID-19 task Force by the Six Members of parliament from Kasese to the vulnerable people in the district.
Handing over the food to the Kasese RDC, the Kasese district woman Member of Parliament who led the legislators, Hon. Winfred Bihande Kiiza told the media that each MP had donated ten tones of food that that includes Posho, Cassava flour and Rice to the Vulnerable people who have badly been hit by the current COVID-19 lock down.

Earlier, Honorable, JacksonMbaju Kathika, Robert Centenary, Tony Muhindo and William Nzoghu called for more donations in any quantity to aid the PWDs, Widows for Royal guards and elderly among others who have badly been affected by the Lock down.
Quick calculation of the donation revealed that the twelve tones of of Posho that make 12000 kilograms, thirty tones of rice that are equivalent to 30000 kilograms and 18 tones of cassava flour go for about one hundred ten million shillings.
Just this week, the Press was awash with reports suggesting that each MP was given twenty million shillings to support in any way efforts against the Corona virus. Earlier, Mr. Kisaka Rabison a resident of Kidodo cell in Kasese Municipality had handed over to the RDC two batches of Matooke to support the vulnerable people.
