    Six Congolese arrested over illegal entry into Uganda.

    Six Congolese nationals have been arrested over illegal entry into Uganda, the Kasese deputy RDC Mr. Joshua Masereka has said

    The Congolese were picked from the sub counties of Kitholhu and Karambi.

    Masereka says preliminary information indicates that they entered into the country with an intention to also cast their votes on polling day despite the fact that they’re not nationals of Uganda.

    Masereka revealed that the Congolese, who are currently under police detention without divulging details, will be handed to immigration and subsequently deported to their country.

    Addressing the press at his office in Kasese town yesterday Mr. Masereka also said that the coming of the first batch of royal guards will soon be followed by another release of others still under detention and the possible relaxation of the bail terms of the Rwenzururu King Charles Wesley Mumbere Iremangoma whose movements are currently restricted to Kampala, Wakiso and Jinja. Mr. Joshua  on bail terms;….

    The deputy RDC, used the same platform appealing to the people to desist from acts of violence and follow the standard operation procedure-SOP ahead of Presidential and Parliamentary election on Thursday.

    He assured electorates in Kasese district that his office has deployed non uniformed and uniformed police officers to guarantee security across the district during election. END.
