    Sironko RDC in quarantine after his deputy tests postive for Covid-19.

    Sironko Resident District Commissioner, Mr. Isaac Lulaba has been quarantined after his deputy tested positive for Covid19.   

    Mr.Lulaba, who also chairs the Sironko District Covid19 Taskforce, told journalists this morning before going into isolation that the samples taken from his deputy on Saturday tested positive for the novel corona virus disease. 

    According to Lulaba, they were prompted to pick samples from his deputy when he presented with high fever and started sneezing.

    Paulo Wakoko, the Sironko District Health Officer, says the Deputy RDC is currently receiving treatment at the Mbale Regional Referral Hospital Covid19 treatment center. 

    He cautioned members of the public against undermining the directives by Health Ministry such as social distancing, wearing masks and washing hands regularly to curb the spread of the virus.    

    Sironko district has so far registered 46 Covid19 cases with 24 recoveries. ENDS
