About 15 heads of state have been invited to the inauguration of President Yoweri Museveni set for next month.
The incumbent, Yoweri Tibuhaburwa Museveni Kaguta was declared winner of the January,14 polls after beating National Unity Platform’s Robert Kyagulanyi his closest rival.
According to reliable sources, Uhuru Kenyatta of Kenya, Maama Samia Suluhu Hassan of Tanzania and Cyril Ramaphosa of South Africa, HE Paul Kagame of Rwanda and Felix Tshisekedi of the DR Congo are some of the Presidents invited for the function.
Others reportedly on the list was the late Chadian President Idriss Déby, who was killed in clashes with rebels.
Sources have also indicated that renowned Senegalese-American musician, investor, and philanthropist Aliaune Damala Badara Thiam, popularly known as Akon is also part of the entourage expected to attend the president’s Swearing in ceremony. END
