Secondary school science teachers in Kasese Municipality have been advised to adopt digital teaching methods, engage in research, and embrace innovation.
Prof. Robert Kyeyune, in charge of ICT at Makerere University, encouraged science teachers to incorporate locally relevant examples in their lessons.
He emphasized that this approach would make science subjects more appealing and easier to understand, particularly since many students perceive sciences as difficult.
While addressing the teachers at Kasese Secondary School during the closure of a five-day training workshop on integration of ICT in learning, Prof. Kyeyune noted that the President has consistently advocated for the digitization of science subjects to help increase the number of scientists in Uganda.
