Government aided secondary school may open today in Uganda without science teachers after they threatened to lay down their tools over un increased salaries among other concerns.
The teachers through their association, the Uganda Professional Science teachers Union previously announced laying down their tools if the presidential directive to increase their pay is not fully effected.
In his announcement to the Teachers at the closure of a five days teachers training workshop yesterday at St Theresa Girls School- Nsenyi yesterday, Mr. Ali Makasi the Bundibugyo District Science Teachers Coordinator confirmed that no business for them from today until their eleven concerns are looked into, including increasing their salaries to four and three million shillings for degree and Diploma holders respectively.
