Many schools in Kasese district faced low turn up the first day of the third term.
A survey conducted by Kasese Guide Radio revealed that many primary and secondary schools had very few students in the classrooms.
Day secondary schools were most affected especially those in Kasese Municipality, and for primary schools those in rural areas were most affected.
