Local leaders from Rwabihungu Village in Kahokya sub-county Kasese district have expressed concern over the increasing school dropout rates and underscored the need, to fight this vice.
Ms Jackeline Biira and Mr. Stephen Kanakwayi noted that many school dropouts in the area have reportedly resorted to poaching from the neighboring Queen Elizabeth National Park to earn a living, a practice they say may ruin their future and affect development.

They called upon Education stakeholders to step up efforts of sensitizing parents and guardians on the importance of keeping children in school.
