By Augustine Mumbere,
Mr. Saulo Maate, the former Kasese district FDC chairperson has described as a drop of water in an ocean for the newly appointed ministers to fight corruption in Uganda as directed by President Museveni.
In his speech while presiding over the swearing-in ceremony of the six newly appointed ministers at State House Entebbe on Monday this week, President Museveni was quoted to have commissioned the ministers to popularize wealth creation and combat corruption which he said had frustrated service delivery.
Addressing the media at the district FDC head office in Kasese yesterday, Mr. Saulo who sounded as if the President had tasked only the six ministers against the vise, said corruption in Uganda was promoted by the ruling NRM party due to lack of political will.
Mr. Saulo who sounds harsh to anyone who points at cases of corruption in his FDC party, asks the president to walk his word against corruption if Uganda was to be safe from the vise. Mr. Saulo speaking…..
The new ministers include; Lillian Aber for relief, disaster preparedness, and refugees, Phiona Nyamutoro for Energy and Mineral Development, Gen Wilson Mbadi for Trade and cooperatives and Balaam Barugahara for Youth and Children affairs among others. END.
