In a bold move to restore trust and accountability of the Parish Development Model, the former FDC Chairperson for Kasese, Mr. Saulo Maate, has asked District Leaders to incorporate the list of Parish Chiefs, CDO, s and Sacco leaders involved in extortion into their reports to be presented to President Museveni during his wealth creation tour in Kasese.
Speaking to our reporter over the weekend in Verina Gardens in Kasese town, Maate said this is aimed at ensuring that the program benefits those it was designed to uplift.
Maate observed that on several occasions the leaders have allegedly shielded offenders of Parish Development Model, presenting successful stories to President Museveni, yet the program is being misused at local levels by government “Mafias.” Mr. Maate one speaking…….
The retired Police Officer, who prays that decisive action should be taken against corrupt officials, urged district official and residents who may be granted to present to Museveni to point out loopholes in PDM, than making lamentations to please him.
Mr. Kato Zunguku, the local council three hopeful for Central Division in Kasese Municipality 2026 on NUP ticket concurred with Maate, but asked leaders to remind Museveni about unfulfilled pledges and resettlement of people encamped in Muhokya camp. Mr. Zunguka speaking….
