By Augustine Mumbere,
Mr. Erifaz Muhindi, the Kasese District local council Chairperson has directed his Chief Administrative Officer to delete from the salary payroll any civil servants wanting to dictate their location of deployment.
Recently, the service commission recruited new teachers to fill staffing gaps in some government aided primary schools across the district but some new recruits are reportedly not willing to serve in hard to reach and live areas of the district.
According to the yet to be confirned sources, the district recruited 38 teachers from Bukonzo County West, 26 from Busongora South, 37 from Bukonzo County East, sourcing 15 from Kasese Municipality and 40 from Busongora County North.
Speaking to Kasese Guide Radio at his office yesterday, Mr. Muhindi said he already has a list of the newly recruited teachers who declined to report to their work posts but instead call for transfers before beginning work.
Mr. Muhindi who sounded touch over the matter, confirmed that he had directed the Chief Administrative Officer to identify those stubborn teachers and instantly delete their names from the district staff list and payroll for replacement. Mr. Muhindi speaking……….
He later called for resilience among civil servants, some of whose hard to reach and live allowances, were being processed for payments. END
