Mr. Kato Soro, the Kasese District Public Accounts Committee chairman has called for close collaboration among the Public Procurement and Disposal Unit, heads of finance and town clerks to avoid gaps in the finance reporting system.
Speaking to Kasese Guide Radio shortly after addressing town clerks and subcounty chiefs during a one day review meeting held at Kasese multipurpose hall yesterday, Mr. Kato who called for comprehensive reports about the contracted markets and other revenue sources, said transparent accountability that meet the minimum financial management standards, is his target.

Mr. Kato also asked accounting officers not only to receive taxes but be innovative and sensitize the masses about taxation as means to build their relationship with tax payers and expand their tax bases. END
