    Rwenzururu lion laid to rest

    The body of the Rwenzururu struggle head of delegation to the Organization of African Union headquarters in Addis-Ababa in Ethiopia, has been laid to rest at his ancestral home in Kihoko village in Kistwamba subcounty in Kasese district.

    The late Rt. Hon. Yoweri Nziabake Mulibondo 90 was in 1968 asked by the first Rwenzururu King, Isaya Mukirania to lead Yoweri Mushenene and Blasio Baluku on a foot trip to present to the Addis-Ababa based OAU headquarters, the concerns of the Banya-Rwenzururu, before the delegation was intercepted, detained in Rwanda and forced back.

    The deceased who succumbed to Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary diseases and pneumonia, served in various positions in the Obusinga Bwa-Rwenzururu, the latest being the portfolio for the Vice Chairperson for veteran affairs.

    May the Soul of the deceased rest in peace.
