The Rwenzururu Kingdom spokesperson Hon. Yonah Tumusime Maate has urged all cultural leaders working under the OBR structures to stay away from partisan political activities but rather work in line with the prime Minister’s office for any development that concerns the kingdom.
Speaking to Kasese guide Radio last evening in Verina Gardens Kasese town, Hon Yonah urged Obusinga Bwa Rwenzururu leaders to shy away from being involved in activities or meetings that may create differences with government.

He also encouraged residents of Kasese district and beyond to heed to the message from the Ministry of Health about corona virus -COVID 19 that has become a worldly pandemic.
The Health Ministry is encouraging people to stay away from crowds, avoid shaking hands and taking the necessary precautions to keep its effect at slack.

Hon Yonah used the same platform to dissociate the Obusinga Bwa Rwenzururu from the fourteen people who were arrested in Bundibugyo district last week in Karambi village, Burondo sub-county who were in possession of machetes, catapults and other items.
During a press conference organized by Rwenzori forum for peace and, the project officer Mr. Happy Francis Mwirima described people who directly or indirectly associates OBR with any subversion acts as an enemy of peace and reconciliation which the people of Rwenzori espouse.
