Residents of Rwabihungu Village in Muhokya sub-county Kasese district, have embarked on communally opening a community access road linking the area to some social services.
The residents, most of whom men, allege that whenever they want to access health care services and transportation of their crops they face a lot of challenges, because the area is not served with any community access toad network that would aid even a motorcycle or bicycle to pick a patient from the area.
Speaking to Kasese Guide Radio shortly after opening the community access road of Rwabihungu-Bibwa Primary school, Mr. Ndungu Kule Julius, the sub-county chief said five million shillings under Community Acess -Road fund has been used to supplement the communal opening of the 8 kilometer road out of 15 kilometers.
Ndungu says leaders should come to their rescue through lobbying finances and machines to work on the access roads so that they are too connected to some social services in neighboring sub-counties like Mahango. Mr. Ndungu speaking….Â
According to Ndungu, part of the five million shillings was used to procure hoes and spades among other tools to help them open the community road. END.
