Kenyan President William Ruto has dismissed his cabinet after weeks of protests.
He retained only Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua and Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi.
Mr Ruto, in a national address, said decision taken after reflection, listening to Kenyans, and after holistic appraisal of his cabinet.
Meanwhile, South African National Defense Force has said that one of its soldiers under the United Nations Mission in the Democratic Republic of Congo has been killed in a grenade explosion in Beni territory, North Kivu province. According to the statement dated 9, July signed by Dlamini Sophie, the South African National Defense Force head of Communications the grenade exploded near the soldier’s sleeping quarters, killing Major Tolla Pieterse, 46 instantly.
