Twelve corona virus suspects have been discharged from institutional quarantine at Rukungiri Health Center IV after completing the mandatory 14 day quarantine.

The Rukungiri District Health Officer, Dr. Akasima Musinguzi, says more 28 people are under Institutional quarantine and are being monitored closely.

Dan Kaguta, the Rukungiri Resident District Commissioner, says those discharged didn’t show any signs of the virus.

He called for cooperation from residents in this trying moment as the country fights against the COVID19 pandemic.

Uganda has since confirmed 52 COVID19 cases.

The latest cases were confirmed over the weekend.

    Ends.
