Government has earmarked Four Hundred Million shillings to construct a Maternity ward at Rukoki Health Centre four in Kasese Municipality.
Speaking at the ground breaking ceremony this afternoon, Lt. Asanairi Thembo, said the UPDF engineering Brigade was to undertake construction works of the maternity ward for a period of six months.
He said the maternity ward will serve the whole population in Kasese Municipality and people in the hard to reach mountainous areas.
