Government has prioritized elevating Rukoki Health Center IV to a hospital status before the construction of new structures for Kilembe Mines Hospital in Bulembia division of Kasese municipality.
Kilembe mines Hospital temporarily shifted to Kasese town in June 2021 after it suffered two waves of flash floods on May 7 and May 10 in 2020 and later back to Bulembia division after the Catholic diocese pulled its hands in April this year.
Since then several reports demanding for the reconstruction of the health facility in Bulembia division have been made by many leaders across the district.
Yesterday, Mr. Muhindi Eriphaz Bukombi, the LCV chairman for Kasese district told the leaders of Mbunga and some community members, that the government has decided to first elevate Rukoki health Center 1V to a hospital status as it looks for a suitable place where to reconstruct Kilembe Mines Hospital.
