The Rwenzori Organization for children living under Difficult Circumstances “ROCDIC” with funding from three donor organizations has constructed 10 Eco-San latrines and five water tanks to schools in Kyondo sub-county in abid to improve the hygiene and sanitation of the learners.
Based in Kyondo sub-county in Kasese District, the organization operates with an objective of improving the holistic wellbeing of children through Education and health care in rural areas.
Speaking at the handover of the facilities to beneficiary schools yesterday at Uganda Marty’s –College Kyondo, the Organizations Executive director, Ms. Imelda Nyamutiba, revealed that they secured funds from Fiona Payton of England, soropotimist international and FDCE from USA to support the rural based schools.
The benefiting groups are Uganda –Marty’s Kyondo, Kasokero, Buyagha, Kaghorwe, Bughungu, Kinyabisiki and Kyondo primary schools.

Imelda said the organization has installed 27 solar panels at nine primary schools, donated 800 text books in the same sub-county in 2015-2016
Presiding over the function, Kasese District chairperson, Mr. Erifaz Muhindi commended the efforts of non-Governmental organizations for supplementing government’s efforts in promoting health and sanitation in the communities
He asked the community to join him in the fight against corruption.
