Rev. Johnkeson Murabyo of South Rwenzori Diocese has warmed Christians against self-medication.
Presiding over requiem service of late John Charles Mukiiza who was laid to rest at his ancestral home in Kanamba Village, Karusandara sub-county in Kasese district on Thursday, Rev.Murabyo, described as backwardness relatives deciding to keep indoors a patient than taking him/her for diagnosis and proper medication.
Murabyo, condemned relatives of late Mukiiza, the chairperson local council three for Karusandara sub-county for allegedly transporting him to Kagadi to be attended to by the self-proclaimed prayer warriors until when he was returned in critical condition and admitted at Mt.St.Marys Hospital Diocese of Kasese where he breathed his last on Wednesday.
Rev. Murabyo, who described late Mukiiza as a reknown evangelist in Karusandara said his family could have taken advantage of his long weakness to divert him to prayer warriors than consulting health professionals. Rev. Murabyo speaking….
The Member of Parliament for Busongora County south, Hon. Gideon Thembo Mujungu told council session presided over by speaker, Hon.Nasur Mudinyi that he was shocked to realize that relatives of late Mukiiza escaped with him from Mulago Hospital to Kagadi after he had booked a physician to do city scan. Council passed a motion to name Kabuga-kanamba road 4kms and Karusandara council hall in the names of late Mukiiza for his contribution to Karusandara sub-county.
Hon.Christopher Macumu, who visited the deceased in Kagadi prayer center, reported he had spent four months without taking any medicine but surviving on holy water as perceived by his relatives.
