The Parish Priest for Kitabu in the Diocese of Kasese, Rev. Fr. David Kitsa has given a two weeks ultimatum for the local leaders to have put plans to clear the bushes along the Nyaruzigati-Mithi Ibiri tarmac or, he mobilizes the community to do it.
Addressing hundreds of mourners at the burial of the 98 year old late Defroza Mbambu in Nyondo village in Kitabu sub county in Kasese district yesterday, Rev. Fr. Kitsa who put to task the representative of the area MP to explain reasons for the current state of the road, said he was shocked to see that with all the political leaders in Kasese district, the road was almost being eaten up by the bushes that can be cleared by the community if well mobilized.
He said the political leaders in Kasese district should either have a solution over the matter or he mobilized strong men and the youth to clear the bushes soon. Rev. Fr. Kiiza speaking1……….
The seemingly disappointed Lands officer for the Diocese of Kasese said he had deployed young men and bought murrum on several occasions to fill potholes on the Kyapa-Kitabu road for the good of the community but no political leader has ever come up to support his efforts.
