Cultivators in Ngoko village in Kitswamba Sub County in Kasese district have given up two weeks for the Kasese Resident District Commissioner to open boundaries of the disputed land in the area or stage a peaceful demonstration, Kasese Guide Radio has learnt.
Hardly a fort night ago, a delegation of well-guarded land technical personnel led by the Kasese RDC Lt. Joe Walunsimbi, was blocked by a seemingly irritated group of reported cattle keepers who seemed not in favor of the day’s exercise.
Mr. Ibrahim Rujumba, the cultivators’ Chairperson in Ngoko village said they have been patient enough and time was now for boundary opening than dancing to what he called the lousy rhythm by the alleged disrespecting cattle keepers. Mr. Rujjumba speaking………
Ms Dorothy Muhindo like Mr. Laurent Kule, Mr. John Baghendaghe and Mr. Kitakuli Juma, all cultivators in Ngoko village said from the time cattle keepers were relocated from DRC to Ngoko land, they have been subjected to casual labor thus, asking for the intervention of Government to have the boundaries open.
