According to the circular to all RDCs and their deputies, signed by Yunus Kakande the Secretary of Office of the President shows that each of the RDC’s offices has been given 20 million Shillings to cater to COVID-19 activities for a month.
Mr. Kakande said that the RDCs must also submit physical comprehensive financial accountability for funds disbursed to them and those who fail will be tendered to the rewards and sanctions committee for disciplinary action. Mr. Kakande directed the RDCs to use the funds for the exact purpose and warned them that its an offence under the Anti-Corruption Act 2009 for a public officer to falsify accountability for public resources.
