Opposition leaders in Kasese District have urged government to expedite the resettlement process for people displaced from disputed areas within the district.
The affected individuals, currently camped at the Mayor’s Garden in Kasese Municipality, are seeking urgent intervention.
Over 400 residents arrived at the office of the Resident District Commissioner (RDC) yesterday. They came from Nkoko, Ibuga, and Kisanga villages in Kitswamba Sub-county, Kabukero in Karusandara, and Rwehingo Village in Nyakiyumbu Sub-county.
