About 58 percent of children in Uganda experienced sexual abuse, the 2024 report has revealed according to Ms Agnes Akangwanaho, the coordinator for Community Engagement International Justice Mission-Rwenzori Region.

Sharing the Uganda Police Force’s Crime Annual report for 2024 at Rwenzori International Hotel during a dialogue meeting with interfaith institution of Kasese district yesterday, Ms Akangwanaho called for direct interventions of the faith based leaderships against abuses on children, most of whom are perverted by relatives, peers and community members who must always face the law to minimize the cases.
