SP. Luke Mbusa, the Rwenzori East Regional Community Liaison Officer has asked religious leaders to work with security agencies and tighten security at places of Worship to ensure the safety of worshippers during this Easter Period.
While delivering his Easter message on Saturday in Kasese town, SP. Luke said churches have started attracting different people from corners of the country to celebrate Easter at their local churches, but Vigilance is needed at places of worship.
He advised church leaders to allow security use metal detectors on Sunday at the church entrances.
SP.Luke, asked the faithful to cooperate with security to stop and be checked before entering the churches but also avoid carrying bags.

He also encouraged travelers to observe traffic rules to avoid accidents in addition to embracing good morals during this Easter period.

Luke, advised proprietors of social gatherings in Kasese to seek authority from police, before holding night Disco’s and comedy stores on Easter Sunday and Monday to avoid friction with security.
