Addressing staff and invitees during the official handover of the Mothers’ Dormitory block to house premature babies at Bwera General Hospital in Kasese District yesterday, Lt. Walunsimbi called for passion and hard work among civil servants whose close supervision he said must be joined by local leaders and community members for effectiveness. Lt. Walunsimbi speaking………
Dr. Amon Bwambale, the Kasese district health officer who said his office was working hard to equip the unit, reported that the contractor will not be fully paid until she completes the construction works at the facility. Dr. Amon speaking……..
Dr. Amon’s pledge followed a report by Mr. Clarence Bwambale, the senior Hospital Administrator that whereas they appreciate government and her development partners for the unit, the entire health facility requires equipment, renovation and other important inputs to effectively serve the community.
About 230 million shillings is to be spent on the project that began in November 2023, funded by Kasese district under Discretionary Equalization Grant. END
