    RDC threatens to arrest Emyooga defaulters

    The defaulters of Emyooga funds will be arrested, the Kasese Resident District Commissioner, Lt. Joe Walusimbi has said.

    Addressing Emyooga group leaders from Busongora south at White house gardens Kasese town yesterday(10th.February.2022), Lt. Walusimbi who said the funds revolve among individual group members said he was soon ordering his security officers to zero on any defaulter under the program.

    He said the money wasn’t political and attached to last year`s general elections but only an interest free loan that is intended to improve the living conditions of the beneficiaries. Lt. Walusimbi speaking1……

    Lt. Walusimbi later directed the Community Development Officers to submit to their subcounties and his office; both monthly and quarterly reports that will guide on the performance of the Emyooga funds before they are abused by the beneficiaries. Lt. Walusimbi speaking2…..

    The Kasese district chairman, Mr. Eriphaz Muhindi who said his office would fully back up the Emyooga recovery plans, described the training by the Uganda Micro Finance Support center as a timely move to guide the program beneficiaries against poverty. Mr. Muhindi speaking…….
