The Kasese Resident District Commissioner, Lt. Joe Walunsimbi, yesterday officially launched the grading of the Kyapa–Kitabu–Mughethe Road in Kitabu Sub-County and the Kyarumba–Kitabona Road in Kyalhumba Town Council.
The two government capital projects, funded under the Emergency Road Fund, are expected to cost over two hundred million shillings and are projected to be completed within two months.

Mr. Ronald Asiimwe, the District Engineer, explained that the road works will involve bush clearing, gravelling, culvert installation, and construction of water offshoots. He added that murraming will be carried out during the second phase of the project.
Mr. Erifaz Muhindi, the Kasese District Chairperson, reaffirmed his commitment to lobbying for more capital development projects in the district. He said the achievements of his current four-year term speak for themselves.
