    PWDs’ groups in Kasese promise to work in unity

    Mr. Noah Nzaghale, the Coordinator for Kasese District Women with Disabilities has called for unity among the individual organizations promoting the rights of People with Disabilities.

    Mr. Nzaghale said individualism by organizations in executing their mandate was weakening plans to fight for the rights of the PWDs in the district.

    He called for a common voice that would see individual organizations unite, meet and plan jointly for a common good. Mr. Noah speaking….

    Ms. Monday Roset, the Vice chairperson for Kasese District Union of People with Disabilities called for active membership by individual organizations that need to pay for annual membership fees to enable the operations of the umbrella organization for the good of all.

    Ms. Scovia Mwerya, the Program team leader for ADD International that funded the meeting at Kasese Municipal Mayor’s Boardroom said, whereas KADIWODI organized the meeting, her office was interested in knowing who was who in the world of PWDs. Ms. Mweya speaking……

    ADD International focuses on seeing a strong Disability movement that has safeguarding and Gender policies to ensure the members are safe from abuse and harm.

    More than six organizations were represented at the meeting. END.
