The Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Local Government, Mr. Ben Kumumanya has commissioned a 568 million shillings Kinyamaseke cell market in Kinyamaseke town council and 4.063 Billion Nyakakindo Mini irrigation scheme in Hima town council in Kasese district.
Others include, Motomoto united farmers main mill in Kasese Municipality1.02 billion, Kiburara Quality millers grain store 386 million and Bwesumbu Market 568 million shillings among others.
According to Kumumanya, the projects were constructed under the Markets and Agricultural Trade Improvement Project-MATIP and Agri-Led, implemented by the Ministry of Local Government.
Speaking at the commissioning of the projects yesterday, Kumumanya urged the public to put into proper use the government facilities donated to them for economic transformation and food security.
Kumumanya, pledged to follow up the presidential pledge of completing Kasese district Administration block, training Mini Irrigation scheme management committees, forward the request for seed secondary school in Hima town council to Ministry of Education and lobby more tractors to boost irrigation in Kasese district .Mr. Kumumanya speakingā¦ā¦

Muhindi reported to the PS to also intervene into shoddy works on Munkunyu-Nyakiyumbu road worth 1.2 billion shillings, emphasizing value for government money.
Earlier, Ms. Hilda Maate, the chairperson local council three for Hima town council, had asked the Permanent secretary to provide a seed secondary school. Lt.
