    Promoting gender equality in/through schools

    Much efforts are still required for equality between men and women that would see the girl child education promoted.

    Speaking to our reporter in Kasese town last evening, the local council three Chairperson for Hima town council in Kasese district, Ms. Hilder Maate Wabukombi described as poor planning for any parent or leader to discriminate against women.

    She calls for equality in the fields of employment, punishments, education and public participation that would see the rights and interests of women promoted. Ms. Hilder 1 on gender equality……..

    The district chairperson woman council representing Hima town council, Hon. Angela Birungi however called for self esteem and respect among women if their communities were to accord them the required support.

    She also warmed mothers against acting in a manner that lower their reputation before their children and in public. END
