The Kasese Member of parliament, Hon. Florence Kabugho has asked the public to promote the indigenous crops and animals she said were resistant to the harsh weather conditions and diseases in the district.
Addressing Christians of St. Stephen Roman Catholic Church in Munkunyu subcounty in Kasese district during a donors’ conference for the church completion yesterday, Hon. Florence said indigenous crops, birds and animals are resistant not only to weather but diseases and pests unlike exotic species that require a lot of care and constant spraying that is hazardous to life.
