The Executive Director Centre for Hope and Life after Prison initiative-Chalapi, Mr. Godfrey Kiwede has called upon former prisoners to participate in Vocational skilling among computer and entrepreneurial skills, welding and tailoring.
Kiwede remarked during the commissioning of Chalapi offices in Kinyabakazi ward Muhokya town council in Kasese district.
He advised the youth and x-prisoners to look at this as an opportunity to change their lives other than participating in criminal activities.
Kiwede said not all youth rotting in prison are criminals, but many are there because they lack what keeps them busy, and because of this many end up engaged in violation of people’s rights.Kiwede on skilling…
He said the organization that has over Eight hundred members in Kasese district has managed to establish 50 groups.
