Mr. Elius Kabega, the school head teacher for Kasese Muslim Nursery and primary school in Kasese Municipality has called for mindset change about payment of school dues by parents and guardians, some of who look at education as last resort.
In his written report during an Annual general parents’ meeting over the weekend, Mr. Elius was disappointed that only six of the about four hundred learners at his school had completed school dues and yet they need to learn and eat as well.
He was concerned that whereas the world was passing through hard economic situations, parents were able to fund other demands, leaving education as a less prioritized venture. Mr. Elius speaking1…….
Mr. Elius said whereas some parents were apportioning blame over poor performance at the school, he was evaluating the present for better academic performance of the school in the near future possible.
