The Ordinary of Kasese, Rt. Rev. Francis Aquirinus Kibira Kambale has asked priests to serve Christians with Joy, commitment and praying together as one family at parish level.
During today’s Chrism Mass, the Bishop blessed the oil of the sick, oil of the catechumen and consecrating the sacred Holy Chrism of which priests will be using to offer various sacraments in the church and in the same Mass priests reaffirmed their promises of service as manifestation of priests’ communion with their Bishop as well as signifying the unity and union of the church of Christ.
In his Homily, Bishop Kibira said every Priest is chosen from the community and appointed by God to act on behalf of people in relation to God to offer the gift and sacrifice for his own as well as for the community
Kibira said priests have an obligation to keep the church strong and united the institution that was initiated by the precious blood of Jesus Christ,

The Kasese Diocesan Vocational Director, Rev. Fr. Joseph Tumusiime said the diocese decided to hold Chrism Mass on Tuesday instead of Holy Thursday to give room to Priests to prepare for the Holy week Mass and Easter, calling on priests to practically get renewed and serve Christ’s church wholeheartedly.
