    President Museveni has warned traders on hiking food prices.

    President Museveni has described as crooks traders whom he said have no reason to hike food prices, and that he would cancel their licenses for taking advantage Ugandans over the coronavirus pandemic that has no direct connection with locally produced food items.

    Mr. Museveni who said that he was to deploy his intelligence teams to trace merchants who have hiked commodity prices added that nothing had changed for them to overcharge Ugandans. Mr. Museveni speaking1…..

    Mr. Museveni who was making his third briefing to the nation about the Covid-19 pandemic at State House Nakasero regretted the increase in the cases separately entered Uganda but were mixed up by a medic on duty.

    He however said that that all is being done to contain the situation over the cases he said had been traced for medical care. Mr. Museveni speaks2…..

    Museveni underlined the wisdom of banning crowds and gatherings, including the plans to suspend public transport which he said he was closely monitoring.

    The President said that he had consulted some manufacturers and the Minister of trade, Hon. Emelia Kyembadde about the possibility of urgently manufacturing bicycles which to him could cater for town and city transport that are congested by taxis and buses.

    The President had earlier regretted that had he closed the borders earlier enough, perhaps Uganda would not be having any confirmed coronavirus cases but that they had to consult first as per international guidelines. END
