Pope Francis: ‘God is not afraid of our prayer of protest’

Pope Francis urged Catholics to feel free to protest spontaneously to God when faced with suffering and injustice.

Reflecting on the Book of Job in his general audience address in St. Peter’s Square yesterday, the pope said that “God is not afraid of our prayer of protest.”

The Holy Sea said like children who alarm against their parents for attention, so are young Christians who lament to attract God`s attention.

He however asked Christians to lament objectively because God is always ready for them and their constant objection to sin but repentance and prayer close them to God`s attention. END
