Mr. Bright Mumbere, the Deputy Executive Director Kirembe information center in Kasese Municipality has called upon parents to educate their children, as a way of fighting poverty and keeping united.
According to a mini- survey conducted recently by the association in Kirembe ward, it was observed that negative parental altitude about school, low expectations and poor parenting style contribute to poor performance and ultimately to school dropout.
Speaking at a one day primary school exhibition held yesterday at Kirembe Primary school, Mumbere noted that providing children with education break the cycle of poverty and ignorance among the community.
