There was a reported scuffle as police attempted to stop students of Lake Katwe Technical Institute in Katwe Kabatooro Town Council from holding their Handover and Farewell party over a graduation ceremony at a neighboring institution.
During the fracas that evolved many of the students including the chairperson school council, Mr. Samuel Praise exchanged with police officer who came with intentions to close party ceremonies in disguise that it would cause noise and disturb speeches at a graduation ceremony of a neighboring school.
The seemingly annoyed Praise who said they had informed police of their functions vowed not to postponed saying everything was readily at a good percentage to have their party today. Mr. Praise exchanging words with Police…
Unidentified police officer was heard by our reporter calling the deputy Principle Lake Katwe technical institute for rescue shortly after students turned violent and not ready to accept the orders from OC Katwe Police station who ordered for close of handover party. The secretary to the students Council, Mr. Thembo Robert Alubex who was taking minutes from an induction meeting of newly appointed leaders spoke to Our Reporter while still under cover saying they were all shocked to see police changing their mind even when they were notified of the function on time.

Deputy RDC Bukonzo County Lt Maate Magwara told Our Reporter that he was aware about the situation was quick to instruct the DPC Katwe Division to harmonize with students peacefully for the good of the school Properties and leaners having their party peacefully.
