Police have launched investigations after a 23‑year‑old man was rescued, having reportedly locked himself in his house with a deep cut on his neck in Nyakasanga Cell, Kasese Municipality.
The Rwenzori East Region police spokesperson, Superintendent Nelson Tumusiime, confirmed the incident and said the victim is Mr. Joel Bwambale, a resident of Nyakasanga Cell in Kasese Municipality.
The victim’s mother, Ms. Biira Irene Mugenyi, who lives in Kanyaminigho Village, Bugoye Sub‑county, Kasese District, told our reporter that they were alerted by neighbors who found it suspicious that her son had shut himself in his bedroom despite having a severe neck wound.
