Police in Lugazi has arrested three men in connection to the alleged murder of Eva Kyolaba, a businesswoman whose body was discovered in a sugarcane plantation near a shrine at Kiremba, Nkokonjeru town council, Buikwe District.

It’s alleged that on Sunday, Kyolaba a resident of Luwule, Nakisunga Sub County in Mukono and owned a bar at Ggunga went to a witchdoctor Ismael Ssebuufu in Nkokonjeru.

According to the Ssezibwa Regional Police Station Spokesperson Helen Butoto after the deceased failed to return home, the boyfriend Charles Katongole filed a case of a missing person.

After investigations and search, police discovered Kyolaba’s body dumped naked in a sugar plantation which is close to Ssebuufu’s shrine.

Although Ssebuufu managed to escape, residents demolished all his shrines.

Those arrested include James Kalema, the father and Suleiman Kalema a brother to Ssebuufu and Gerald Ssendagi a Boda Boda cyclist who helped Ssebuufu escape. ASP Butoto speaking…… The Church preaches against acts of witchcraft.
